Monday, November 14th, Timisoara will formally enter in the Mobile Monday Network of more than 130 cities worldwide, where vibrant communities of people are jointly pursuing their interests to learn about, to follow and, why not, to influence the evolutions within the global mobile industry.
The existing Timisoara Mobile Development Group (TiMo) re-invents itself by joining MobileMonday™ (MoMo), an open community platform of mobile industry visionaries, developers and influential individuals fostering brand neutral cooperation and cross-border peer-to-peer business opportunities through live networking events to demo products, share ideas and discuss trends from both local and global markets.
Mobile Monday Timisoara inaugural day will be marked by a conference focused on technical and business topics with participation of foreign and Romanian specialists. The conference will be opened to interested participants from Timisoara and neighboring regions in Romania, Serbia or Hungary, and will be followed by an web-mediated interaction with the Mobile Monday Germany conference and an informal inaugural party.
The future activity of Mobile Monday Timisoara will embrace and enthusiastically pursue the overall Mobile Monday global objectives:
- Foster an open and independent innovation platform within the mobile sector
- Facilitate industry networking between individuals, small and large companies, academia
- Bridge partnership exchanges between domestic and international organizations
- Generate innovative visions, trends, studies and forecasts from the mobile marketplace
- Provide opportunities for local members to effectively participate in global initiatives
Timisoara Mobile Development Group was an informal tech & biz community started in January 2011 and supported since then by Timisoara Software Business Incubator. It totals 130 members that met in 10 successive monthly events with an average of 45 participants/event, assisting to more than 30 presentations, launching and discussing about 20 mobile applications developed locally by individual experts, not formalized teams, small or medium sized companies or by departments of world class multinational companies.
